I've read many of the reviews on here and was a little skeptical going into our mini vacation. However, upon arriving I was greeted warmly and with the utmost attention. It was off season so I had no problems with parking, in fact, I was able to keep my car parked under the hotel the entire time. Yes, there is limited parking, about 8 or 9 spaces total, but there is additional parking very close by. When my son and I went into our room, the first thing that hit me was how very clean it was! The room was kind of on the small side, but I wasn't there at the beach for the hotel room. The room was spotless, the beds nice and comfy, the bathroom nice and all tile, which I loved, and our particular door opened up right near the front of the hotel closest to the beach, so we had a great view! The staff was awesome! The continental breakfast was exactly that: continental! People who complain that the breakfast wasn't good enough were just a little too picky. Hello! It's free! They had cereal, oatmeal, eggs, toast, bagels, some excellent muffins and pastries, as well as coffee, juice, milk, etc. It was exactly what I would expect out of a continental breakfast. Now, the pool, I will admit, was a joke. It really should be made into a jacuzzi because that's about how big it is, but they are planning on building a real sized pool in the future. The only downside to the entire time we spent there was one day I had put the "Do Not Disturb" sign up while my son and I went bike riding because I just don't like people coming in and messing with my stuff. Well, they came in anyway and threw away some receipts of mine that I needed. The lady was extremely apologetic though and dug through the trash in an effort to find them, which she did, however, they were wet from something so I told her not to worry about it.

Anyway, overall, we had an excellent stay at the Seaside Inn and if we are ever in the area again, I would most definitely stay there again! Thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful experience!!

I booked this hotel back in June 2012 for a wedding deal and to have a beach vacation with my relative.
Booking the room was a slight pain. Front desk was very busy and had no clue about the wedding I was referring to at first. This hotel needs a reservation person. Got through that. Never got an emailed confirmation from them which made me slightly nervous. Did call back and luckily my reservation was in place.
As for the 2 Queen bed room I booked with a partial ocean view, The room was very small. Bedframes were sticking out to the point that I banged my shin on those corners. There was no room to move them around. Hotel needs to get different bedframes that are "invisible". The headboards are nice. There is an armoire/chest combined that serves as storage. Very inadequate. Could not hang a large garment bag in there very well since I had to wear a suit to a wedding. I realize that this is a beach paradise environment. I would recommend full blown closets, Flat Panel TV on the wall, and a better fridge and microwave set up. Wall paper in bathroom is in need of replacement. More hooks in bathroom would have been nice to hang bathing suits. Iron and Ironing board were both worn out and in need of a desperate replacing. The room TV is a 19" tube set.
On the good side, there is a ceiling fan in the room, window does open, comp breakfast with cerials and milks in school size containers, Instant grits and oatmeal and pastries and breads etc. etc. The bathroom was nice and clean with a shower only, No tub.
Parking is under hotel with very few spaces and it is difficult to park a Suburban underneath due to the tight space underneath the hotel. It was tough enough getting a Crown Vic to fit in there but it can be done if you are a professional driver. So NO SUVs, Mini Vans or Large vans. Those have to park across the street on a sandy lot. Smaller car the better underneath hotel.
I wanted to do a late check out to 1pm but I was disappointed that could not happen so I could not enjoy the beach for a longer period on a Sunday morning.
Overall I do like the location of this hotel. Will consider this place again in the future.

Booked a room before and after cruise out of Charleston,SC. Very nice on the beach lodging,at a very reasonable price. Front desk staff, number one... knowledgeble, and smiling......! Coming off the cruise ship (about 20 minutes away,depending on traffic) we arrived rather early ,but got accomated immediately.
The room is very nicely appointed...bath amenities are a bare minimum....carpet is screaming for a cleaning......mildew/musty smell is rather prevalent.....grouting in bathroom is as usual in need of cleaning and sealing in this pricerange hotel......door to room #107 needed 2 people to open or close.....all of the above is not going to stop us from coming back, (well,maybe the mold and mildew) the price is right for the nicely appointed rooms, the location is phenominal, continental free breakfast is adequate.

I chose Isle of Palms for a family vacation the week before my kids went back to school. It was perfect for us...a great alternative to crowded, commercial beaches or Disney-anything. We spent hours building sandcastles on clean beaches. The front deck of the building has a great view and comfortable seating to take in the sound of the waves. The room was small but very clean. Staff was helpful and it is walking distance to everything you could ever hope to see in Isle of Palms. Great value for the price!
