“Wonderful SC has so much conservation lands!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We visited Donnely, Bear Island and Bennett Point and they were great parks. While we didn't spot too many birds the potential was there and there were many ducks and in Bear Island we even spotted the Swans! It's wonderful that so many acres have been set aside in SC. It says a lot about the culture of the people here.

“Wildlife”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

This is a neat place to get out and experience wildlife. Have seen many snakes and gators in the wild here.

“Travelling the Ace Basin by auto wasn't worth it.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2011

Since I am handicapped I drove the Ace Basin West one morning and the East side another morning. The west side was a nicer drive because the road was paved and the aera was more open whereas nearly the entire East drive is a narrow dirt road, mostly wooded. I had hoped for some good photo opportunities but I found few; some attractive entrance gates and horse farms on the west side. At the east side I saw only two wading birds. I felt the driving tour was a waste of gas and mileage but, perhaps, the walking tour may prove more fruitful. Also, I wasn't able to be there at the crack of dawn so that may have been a negative from the start.
