“Always delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

We have never been in this restaurant without seeing the owner constantly working every front of the house job. He truly cares about your dining experience. Just watching him exhausts you!
Food is excellent and plentiful. Super reasonable prices. We take home doggie bags every time. Always crowded which is a sure sign of a good restaurant. Have never been disappointed. Went in very off season, still a full restaurant of happy diners.

“Good food, but ...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

I loved the food both times I ate here, and it's fairly reasonably priced. But I find the management quirky, and not in a good way, so I don't plan to go back. First time, the place was practically empty, we asked for a table by the window and were refused because we hadn't make a reservation for it - and it stayed empty for our entire meal. The last time, there were some smokers in our group, so we sat outside on the patio. Despite that we were the ONLY party out there, the waitress said smoking was forbidden there. And too bad, because the smoke might have kept the mosquitos that attacked several in our party at bay. It's pretty out there but the water feature sure attracts them so if you do go, sit inside.

“Annual Ritual”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Authentic Northern Italian pizza -- excellent risotto special -- great selection of wines. A little "far" from Sea Pines but worth it every year! A hidden gem that we make sure we visit every year.

“Excellent, authentic Italian Cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

If you enjoy the cuisine of Northern Italy and thin crust pizza cooked in a wood oven then you will enjoy dinner at Il Carpaccio. We have travelled extensively in Italy, and our lentil soup, and Linguine Lorella were the best that we have eaten outside of Italy! The chef uses the freshest ingredients. A treat is the lemon sherbert frozen in the shell of a lemon. This restaurant is worth coming back to on a number of occasions. Reservations are recommended as this is a popular local restaurant.

“Excellent Italian comfort food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012 via mobile

We dine here every time we visit Hilton Head; this was probably our fourth time. The pasta dishes are generous portions, which can be split in the kitchen. I enjoyed pasta with smoked chicken, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach in a cream sauce. Very tasty and a good choice on a chilly evening. Hubby had veal Marsala, his favorite. Service is good and atmosphere is very pleasant. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this place.
