We just returned from a week at Seawatch in Unit 8301 and would not hesitate to stay here again. We loved the location on the island as well as the premier beachfront where this resort sits. We traded into a 3 bedroom and were very pleased. Our large 3rd floor unit was very comfortable and had unobstructed ocean views from every window and the 2 balconies. There were 3 bedrooms and 3 baths and loads of storage. Two of the bedrooms are very large with king size beds, en suite baths and walk-in closets. One has its own balcony. The other bedroom is a bit smaller with a full bath in the hallway and twin beds. There was a separate laundry area with new washer/dryers. The kitchen has recently been redone and the appliances were new, countertops were granite and it looked great. Flatscreen tvs in each bedroom and a larger one in the family room. The linens were nice, towels were big and soft and there were plenty to get us through the week. Some of the furnishings are dated, and they really should start replacing the wall art, lamps, carpet etc... Everything was clean and functional though and that is what we most care about.
The resort had a coffee and doughnut get together Monday morning which we skipped, but also a cookout on Thursday for the timeshare buildings, which we attended and enjoyed. The grounds here are immaculate and well-maintained. The gas grills were cleaned daily. Owners we spoke with seem to feel the new management company is doing a good job and is making the upgrades needed to maintain this resort's gold crown status.
The pools were opening the day we left, but we did notice a lot of activity on the many tennis courts. We walked the beach daily, rented bikes, took tennis clinics, ate at the many great restaurants on the island, enjoyed our balconies and really spread out and relaxed here. Yes, this resort was built in the 70s and the buildings do look like they were, but overall we were satisfied, felt we got a great trade and would stay here again.
