We've rented same 6 bedroom house 2 yrs in a row and are going back next year with our group. The beach is PERFECT for kids. At low tide the sand bar is exposed and little oned can play in the shallow channel. Beach is clean and great for walking or bike riding. Thanks to it being private/fee for day visitors and limited parking...it gets busy but not oovercrowded (we stayed with walking distance other Sea Pines residents and vacationers ride bikes). Also must be some ordinances that keeps out the riff raff. I didnt see any motorhomes, motor cycles or hear one loud blaring car radio. Houses are big, many condos, townhouses but due to the lush vegetation and building codes that don't allow for sale signs and limit house colors to subtle browns , tans and natural colors.. It feels more secluded. My husband got a permit to fish for $5 in the preserve. Bike trails are awesome. My dad said it best, whats not to like?
