Based on 2 recent visits I can confirm that they definitely serve a better burger and at a reasonable price.
Also the venue and ambience is good and for someone who will avoid any restaurant with live music, their guitarist is worth listening to without being so loud that normal conversation is painful.
On both occasions our party was impressed with the burgers, wedge salads, fries etc.
But oh the service. Its not good. On each occasion and different serving staff, they made a point of avoiding any eye contact, scuttled away before we could find out why the wait was so long, or even ask for more drinks.
When we finally managed to catch one, the excuse was the same - a large order ahead of us that had slammed the kitchen.
If you are in this business the first thing you do is ensure your kitchen is adequately equipped to keep up with the order flow at peak times. Another thing that seemed to be lacking is a front of house manager able to take command of the situation and see that every table is correctly and promptly served. Employing attractive hostesses is no guarantee they are going to succeed in the job without some professional restaurant training
It seems that we were not the only ones to suffer slow and poorly managed service.
