“Beautiful rooms and so much within walking distance!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel and slept well every night. The room was beautiful, down to the art on the walls - no floral posters framed in plastic here!
However, the pool was closed and the pool that was made available wasn't heated.
Additionally, our 8 year old daughters were walking around the back patio/grassy area when a hotel employee came outside and, not having seen our children, casually mentioned the crocodile that lives on the hotel/golf course property! When we told her our girls are on the grass she went to red alert to et them on the patio. Perhaps a sign would have been helpful! I had nightmares for several nights!!!

We stayed at the Inn for 3 nights in March 2013 and had a really excellent time. We had originally wanted to stay at the Inn for 4 nights but it wasn't available on our first night. We took the first night at the Omni resort instead so were able to compare the difference between the two hotels. While the Omni was nice (although still ongoing major construction) and great value at half the price of the Inn, the Inn is far and away the better hotel. The location is just great too, with the ability to have a nice stroll in the evening for dinner and drinks at the Harbour Town itself, rather than have to drive everywhere.

The Inn at Harbour Town hotel itself is lovely, with a real luxury feel, as was the room we stayed in - with a view over the golf course. Noticed that some rooms had balconys which ours didn't and it would have been a nice addiiton, but not sure how much extra it would have been. The room was so nice anyway, that we didn't even bother to ask. The Molton Brown goodies in the bathroom were great too!

The pool construction didn't bother us in the slightest, and the staff were at pains to highlight it to us and welcomed us to come to them if there was anything about it that inconvenienced us. No need, there was no impact at all. When it is finished, I am sure it will be lovely, but a bit small to be classed as a swimming pool I think. Probably more a nice area for a splash around to cool off, not sure if you would actually be able to swim in it.

I don't play golf, but my husband does and the golf pro was very accommodating making it all easy to arrange for us. Because I go round with my husband in the buggy, we like to go out ourselves if possible, and while that is pretty easy in the UK with no questions asked unless it is REALLY busy, it always seems to be a headache in the US. No worries in Sea Pines - hassle free.

I'd recommend the nearby bakery for pastries/snacks, but didn't use it for lunch. The Crazy Crab at the Harbour was great for dinner, as was the Quarterdeck. Both nice and relaxed atmospheres. Fish tacos at Quarterdeck were great!

Room Tip: Golf view rooms will be better, and if it's not too pricey get a balcony - although don't fe...

Read other reviews so knew to ask for a room, with deck overlooking the golf course. Got a great room. Very comfortable bed so we slept well. Crummy weather so didn't do much but eat and ride bikes. Loved the beach. We rode bikes there each day-sometimes twice a day! Checked out the umbrellas conveniently placed by the door. Used the Inn's computer to print plane tickets. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available every day. The pool will make a nice addition to a charming inn. Friendly and helpful staff. Was never disappointed.

Oh My! This Inn at Harbour Town is truly deluxe! Whether its Louise, Hope, Evelyn or Hannah the service here is 5 star. From the moment you arrive they greet you by name and welcome you personally. I have needed a pharmacy, a laundry mat, and restaurant reservations and it's been handled perfectly. There is a lovely Tea station on each floor, turn down service and bicycles free of charge! I'm looking forward to using the complementary shoe shine tonight. Look no further this is the best on Sea Pines! (Or Hilton Head!) the ODells

From not only at the Inn but the stop off at Welcome Centre, everything was great. The staff were so attentive and efficient. The butler services staff are always on point. I was aware of the pool construction but when you physically see it coming together, it's worth the wait. No construction before 9am and stops after 6pm. Therefore your out during the day for it to even concern you. the very very worst was 20 minutes tile cutting - something that really didnt bother me!! Getting a room on then resort side so did not have a disrupted view due to it, so that's a tip if you think it may bother you.

Wouldn't question a return, I'll be back as soon as I can. Once again, I can't comment on the excellence of the staff more. Lovely been greeted by the English staff and the internships Sea Pines provide to these students.

Staying in this beautiful hotel was one of the highlights of our trip to SC and Georgia. From the moment you check in, the staff is there to attend to your every need. The public areas are very nice and great place to talk and have a drink. A bartender staffs the area in the evenings. The guestroom is amazing; turn down service, soft lighting, bottle water, chocolates, lip balm,, Moulton Brown bath products, etc. all complimentary. We felt so pampered here. Kudos to the amazing staff; they are so polite and friendly and helpful. The weather was rather chilly, but it was okay because we just enjoyed staying in the beautiful hotel. You will not be disappointed. Comparable to staying at a Ritz Carlton in terms of quality and service, but more 'relaxed'. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!

Room Tip: We asked for a golf view. It was beautiful, but unfortunately we got one of the few golf view rooms...

After reading some poor reviews of the Westin, I made a change to Sea Pines for a quick getaway after our wedding. I called a few days before to see what I could arrange to have waiting for us, and was impressed when they were offering complimentary champagne; I also was able to order chocolate covered strawberries and some other things. From the moment we got there the staff was smiling, and greeted us by name with a big 'congratulations'. Our room was great, marble bathroom and tub were very cool.

Breakfast in the morning was spectacular - it's pricey ($18/person I think) but well worth it for the pastries alone. We kept waiting for something to go wrong or be off, and it never happened. The golf cart service they have to get around the resort was also helpful. Staff really was terrific.
