Our family of 5 went to view the lighthouse, and we were extremely disappointed in the visit. It was about $18 to enter, and the entire thing reeked of a tacky tourist trap. After each 10 steps or so, there was one or two attempts to get your money (e.g., penny squishing machine, photo booths), jammed next to a few bits of history. You could hear children begging their parents for money at each stop. When we made it to the top, we were expecting a historical museum. Instead, there was a store at the top, each item extremely over-priced (e.g., $20 for a whistle). The store had typical touristy items that you would find at a gas station, such as coffee mugs, t-shirts, stuffed animals, etc. A disappointment to say the least.
