“Anniversary Trip; One big set back to an otherwise nice place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We had a wallet stolen our first full day there. The cash taken was just the beginning, since none of the I.D's, CC's, or other items recovered. Lots of phone calls after calling the police and alerting the hotel management regarding the crime. We got no response back from hotel management or the police. Two seperate Hotel Managers were spoken to, but neither called back with any follow-up they promised.

The place has clean facilities and is a good location, but some of the help there may have sticky fingers.

I must start by saying the young man checking me in was very nice, but failed to mention times for breakfast etc. The room looked very dated and smelled old. One of the mattress's was so old and worn you could feel the springs. The bathroom was very small with very little counter space. The lights in the bathroom were dusty and hair hanging from it. The sheers on the patio door were stained and moldy. The sliding door to the sparce patio had to be physically lifted in order to open. At least put a plastic table with the dirty plastic chairs. Patio door and chairs were covered in mold. I made the mistake of walking on the carpet without shoes. My feet stuck to the kitchen tile! The facet in the kitchenette was missing parts. Not a pleasant mini-vacation. Never again.

Room Tip: Stay in another place!

The Park Lane Hotel was our home base for our son's wedding in September. They gave us a great group rate. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice and large with full kitchens. There's plenty of parking and the pool area was very pleasant. Guests loved the bike rentals. The bathrooms are a small and the continental breakfast needs some additional options, but all and all a great, economical solution, close to the beach. Finally, the Park Lane takes pets and are pet lovers. They were very helpful in recovering the bride's cat that escaped the day we were leaving...almost 4 weeks after the wedding. Thank-you Park Lane!

I came here with a Women's Retreat (60 women were in our party). I really enjoyed the hospitality of the staff!!! They were very accommodating and very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the rooms had a full kitchen. They are located 2.2 miles from the beach. My only complaint (if yo can really call it that) was that I wish there were more choices with the continental breakfast.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back myself!

Stayed at the Hotel two nights, Oct. 12 and 13, 2012, occupied two rooms. The rooms were nice and large, Full size stove, frige, dishwasher, and microwave. Mattress on all four beds were very hard, no padding. pillows were vwery small and collapsed when used. In my room the air condition when the compressor came on, sounded like a car hit the building and made so much noise you could not sleep until it cut off. Could use a little in-depth cleaning, stone cabinet tops a little sticky a little mildew in bathroom. Deluxe continental breakfast, "NO" was not even a continental breakfast. The coffee was very good, Starbucks Coffee. Got a special rate for a Wedding we were attending. I would not stay there for the regular rate.

Room Tip: I did not see a restaurant

Our stay was awesome on 9/28/12. We came down to visit time share opportunity. The room was nice and clean. Although we did not come to cook; we enjoyed having more than what we needed. Breakfast was ok continential as they mentioned but more than enough for seconds. The pool looked great but wasn't hot enough so next time we plan to come when it is hot. The beach a few miles away just awesome and we went twice. The staff was friendly; check in was very smooth. We could not wait to get back and tell our family about our stay. I do recommend this place., I almost forgot we ate at Nicks awesome shrimp, salmon and crab legs.
Thanks

Room Tip: First room near elevator was fine for us. We came to relax and get away from everything for a weeken...
