“Great choice for our anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

We chose Trattoria Divina for an anniversary dinner and dined in the wine room. The service was first class and prompt. The wine list was excellent and both wines selected were very good. We had the special appetizer salad with heirloom tomatoes and house made mozzerella. Very Good!! I chose the evening special of black grouper and a sort of hash of eggplant and asparagus. The grouper was cooked perfectly, I could have eaten a full bowl of the hash. It was very tasty. My wife chose the lobster ravioli and loved it also. Good size chunks of lobster and the sauce over the homemade pasta "lick the plate good". We shared a tiramisu dessert that was also very good. These guys lived up to their reviews. Do not let the location scare you away. Well worth the chance to enjoy a great meal.

“Great experience start to finish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

This wasn't our first visit to this restaurant but it was one of our best. The food is consistently good. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass. The complementary prossecco and amuse bouche to start is always a nice touch. This evening, our visit was enhanced by the fact that one of the owners (the wife) was tending bar. She gave us great advice on food choices and we shared travel tips from our recent jaunts as well. I particularly enjoyed the insalata Breem, which apparently is named for her. It is a delicious mix of baby organic spinach, beans, tomatoes (local and sundried) tossed in a tarragon vinagrette and topped with crispy, light calamari rings. It would have been enough of a meal by itself. We also tried the bruschetta (authentic), another order of calamari, and the pesto linguini (freshly made pasta) with local shrimp. All were satisfying and we took enough home to enjoy the next day too. On previous occasions, we've enjoyed a lobster and shrimp dish over pureed parsnips (decadent) and ravioli in black truffle mushroom sauce (fantastic). This should definitely be on everyone's "must try list" if you're desire is for delicious food in a congenial, warm atmosphere.

“Excellent service and good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

Our family of 7 enjoyed our meal here while visiting HHI last month. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy but what makes the place great is the wonderful service and their willingness to serve a large party. While most restaurants on the island seem put off my larger parties this one was truly excited to have us. The dishes were good, solid Italian food. They were not outstanding or gourmet by any means but definitely tasty and hit the spot.

“Five Stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

We dined here for the first time tonight after reading great reviews and were delighted with the entire experience. The hostess was welcoming and our server Lena was exceptional. Her personalized attention, knowledgeable recommendations and charming personality wowed my husband, teenage son and me. The food was fresh, large portions and beautifully prepared. The wine list was great. We had an heirloom tomato and homemade, melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella caprese salad, a couple of fabulous seafood pasta dishes teaming with fresh shellfish, shrimp and scallops and a carbonara topped with lump crabmeat. The complementary proseco and amuse bouche were lovely surprises. This is a new favorite and we are already looking forward to our next meal.

“We're Italian, so believe it when we say, it's very good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

Italians fr Chicago so we know good Italian food. Stumbled upon it and glad we did! Warm greeting with a complementary glass of prosecco. Server Lena was superb, articulating specials and offering recommendations. Calamari, Brie, Capresse apps were fantastic. Pastas are homemade. Scampi delicious! Menu is more eclectic than traditional, but truly one you should try!
