I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Head Resort. All units are individually owned and we found one through VBRO at the last minute. Resort itself was a little dated but no problems. They could use more luggage carts and there is only one elevator in each building which is slow and hot. The boardwalk to the beach is about a 10 minute walk but they also have golf cart shuttles running in the morning and afternoon. If you have rolling coolers and beach carts it's not too bad. Beach itself was the highlight of the trip - keep in mind the beach is quite wide so we learned quickly to set up near the dunes so not to have to constantly move with the tide. We also enjoyed Coco's - my kids played beach volleyball and we could get snacks (typical bar food - fries, burgers, etc.). We stayed in the building with the large pool in the middle which was a good location and closest to the beach. Other buildings have indoor pool and track, tennis courts and sundeck. We had no issues with noise as I had seen in some of the reviews. Short drive to the grocery store was a plus. Pretty much a family beach resort and we will come back.
