“Great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013 via mobile

Just needed a last minute stay on way home from vacation and had not been to Hilton Head before. Got a great rate as a Choice Hotels member so we chose this property. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot...all I really look for in a room. You do have to drive to places but typically tourists here rent bikes so its not such a big deal. The ONLY negative I have is we were wakened by housekeeping staff having a boisterous conversation outside our room. They should remember walls are thin! Otherwise a comfortable stay!

This is our second time staying here. For the price you can't beat it. Our first night here was horrible. Commode wouldn't flush, door handle was broken and sink was stopped up. But the next morning we complained and they moved us down stairs to a long suite and all is well! My daughter said sofa bed is comfy and the king bed is very comfy!

I give it a 3.5-stars!
Stayed 2 nights on Memorial Day weekend. Room was nice and clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Manager helped us by getting a room with convenient access for handicapped mother. Was greatly appreciated as the Holiday weekend left them with limited room availability. Breakfast was better than most Hotels in this price range. Convenient location. Only complaint was concerning noise above us both nights we stayed. Sounded like they were replacing carpeting, but staff swore there was no work going on at that time. Nonetheless, we heard banging and sliding up until 2 or 3 AM both nights and called front desk. They offered to call police, but I was not that concerned and asked them not to. They did adjust my bill upon leaving to compensate though. All in all, a clean, fairly nice, bargain-priced Hotel. I would stay there again. But if money is not a concern, I'd probably opt for something a bit closer to the beach... Rooms at the Marriott go for $500 and up (per night)...

We arrived before check-in and the staff was accommodating. Overall, every staff person we have met has been cordial. The rooms are clean and so is the property. The breakfast menu has a lot of selections. Easy to get to any location; grab an island map. Great location.

Staff not friendly or courteous at check in. I complained of no internet service and they said they were having trouble with router to come to office and use theirs. I never did get use of internet for 4 days, even after they "reset" the router. Room was ok but old, stained and beat up furniture and mis-matched paint touch ups. Light over beds did not work and they brought a small lamp...apparently they couldn't fix it.

This was a spur of the moment, one night stay for work. The bed was comfortable, everything functioned (except the security latch which was missing), and it appeared clean.
The problem was noise. We had room 125 on the ground floor. Rocking chairs are provided right outside the door where people sit at all hours, smoking and talking. The parking lot noise and headlights are a few feet from the door and the room darkening curtains do not extend fully. Someone directly over our bed was running back and forth across their room. It was probably a child but it sounded like a horse!
Undoubtedly most of these problems would not exist on the second or third floor. The staff was professional and the location convenient. Just beware of noise if you get a first floor room.

King sized room, first floor with sofa. Convenient, comfortable and very reasonable price. We booked through Choice.com. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Good location. Staff were nice and helpful. We were able to park right in front or our room which made unloading the car easier. The breakfast was good, more than fruit and cereal. Coffee available in registration all the time.
