“Big alligators and some birds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Very nice, quiet place. You can take a picnic or fish if you wish. I expect you would see more birds in the spring. We did see some really large alligators.

“A Nice way to relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

We checked this place out while at HHI back in April, and really enjoyed it! Some things to remember though, Get a map, this place place is pretty big, and easy to get lost in. The day we went was gorgeous outside, so we really got to take alot in. Places to fish are plentiful, although we didnt do any. Our favorite was probably the alligator sightings, theyre everywhere! lots of places to picnic, and great for walking and just unwinding. It has kind of a mountain get-away feel to it, you forget that you are even close to a beach, really reminded us alot of home in East Tennessee. Make sure and take the camera, lots of wildlife to see, and also some great nature photography.

“Nice walk.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

My wife and I walk daily and found this to be a very scenic and peaceful place to get some exercise. Make sure you get a map at the entrance so you don't get lost. If you like to fishe there are alot of lakes you can fish but you need to stop at the security gate to get a pass. Overall it's a nice way to soend a couple of hours.

“Looking for gators”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Although it coats $5 to get into Sea Pines, the Forest Preserve is worth the fee. Whether you choose to walk, bike, or drive there are ample opportunities to see local wildlife in a beautiful, peaceful setting. You can rent fishing equipment or take a boat ride to look for gators.

“An easy hike, but bring the bug spray.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Was a great level hike. Most of the trails would be easy for any level hiker. We did see a few small alligators. (do not feed the alligators). We sprayed for mosquitoes, but half way through the hike, we wished we would have brought it along. Bring water with you as there is limited to no refreshments there.
