“An Good Place To Eat”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

Food selection was very good good, although a little higher priced than we are use to for Mexican. Pizza was on the menu, which is unusual for a Mexican restaurant. There were several pork, chicken and steak items, so the selection was great.

My wife had Arroz Con Pollo (chicken/rice). There was lots of vegetables and left overs. I had the 'shrimp enchiladas' and they were good as well.

Service was not terribly attentive.

The home made sangria was good, but didn't have much of a 'kick'.

A worthwhile stop, particularly considering that food selection at this exit (#5) @ I95 is very limited.

“A Nice Local Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We have never had Mexican foods served as hot as this place. The orders are usually out in less than 10 minutes upon ordering and are always steaming HOT! We have been going here for over 5 years. Everything is terrific & authentic, never had a bad meal yet! The pizzas are also good! It is a local dive but the service is friendly & quick and the foods are always tasty!

“Tatty exterior and interior, food OK, not great”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

You get the view that the owners are hard up. The atmosphere is old, not in a good way. Kind of feel you are back in Mexico twenty years ago in a neighborhood restaurant. I ordered Carne Asada and it was not the best, the refried was good, the guacamole was unexciting and the rice bland. Service was a little slow. There is little to recommend this, you want to like it and help the owners out. It is on my regular weekly commute, maybe I will give them another try, but not rushing it.

“Great food, good value, bad service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012 via mobile

We were hesitant about going in with the kids as the exterior is a little rough looking. The interior is also in need of a re-do, but the dining area was over half full with families, so we figured it must be okay. We seated ourselves and were brought our drink orders and chips/salsa right away. It didn't take long for our food to arrive and after that our waitress didn't come back to check on us again. She seemed to be very involved (personally) with a large party across the dining room and never even looked our way. So we sat with empty glasses for much of the meal. She finally came over to bring us our check and returned with the carry-out boxes and refills we asked for. The service sucked. That's the bad part. The good part is that the food was great and the portions were generous. I've never seen a taco as stuffed full of meat or such a huge burrito or chimichanga - about the size of Moe's except twice as long. The food was great. Too bad ethe service wasn't. I'd be willing to give it another shot. Maybe we caught her on a bad night.

“Only place to get alcohol on Sundays!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

Referred to this restaurant by another local due to county rules of no alcohol served on Sunday's. So glad they did. The service was great and the food was even better! Large portions for a great price. Don't let the appearance of the outside of the building fool you....... The stop was well worth it and we would stop again!!!
