“Clip Joint attitude”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2008

We stayed at this hotel as a cheaper alternative to Savannah while attending a training. The hotel booked this room for us with the knowledge that the whirlpool tub did not work. The in room safe had been popped open and there was no lock. The sheets were too small for the king sized bed. When I pointed these issues out, staff advised they "would have to call the owner." I was given $15 off for two of the three nights. This was unsatisfactory. However, the wifi was the fastest I have ever seen. But, I felt cheated. I will not be back. Staff was not helpful at all--they seemed programmed.

  • Liked — Wifi was excellent
  • Disliked — Staff have a clip joint attitude.

I'm writing this from my room (#107) while waiting for breakfast to be prepared. First, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. My wife and I wore our socks all night because after removing our shoes when we entered our room, a common practice at home, we noticed the bottom of our feet were becomming very dirty. There is one bar of soap for the shower and none for the sink. The lotion bottle had been opened by someone else, and the head of the bed is up against the outlet where the lights on the night stands plug in. Every time you move on the bed the lights flicker on and off. It's a real fire hazard...

There were only two towels in the room and I had to run to the front desk to get more, not really a big deal, but they should provide four as in other hotels we stay in.

Last but certainly not least, neither one of us slept very good last night due to the real concern over security. The area is depressed, and we took turns checking on the car out of our window during the night. After working for many vears in law enforcement, you sort of get a feel for these things. We noticed a Hampton Inn only a few miles from here last night when we went looking for a place to eat.

Keep moving down the road until you hit the Hampton Inn!!!

We booked this Quality Inn because of its #1 rating on Trip Advisor, and were disappointed. The room was OK, clean and comfortable. The TV did not work, but was fixed quickly. The light over the sink worked sometimes. The bathroom was very tiny. The breakfast was OK. But we did not feel safe in the area around the hotel, it was not a "nice" area. Would we stay here again? Definitely not.

Stayed one night on our way to Florida. The room was nice and looked to be recently redone. Room had a nice king size bed as well as a small fridge and microwave. Morning free breakfast offered eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc. Much nicer than most hotels in this price range. I would stay again. The only problem we had was the free wireless internet was down when we were there.

I was very impressed with the friendly staff and the hotel property. It was neat, clean and close to the highway. I would definitely recommend this location.

We stayed here on our way to Disney, based on the views on this site, the room was fine for the money spent. I needed to get online and when I tried to connect to the wireless, no go, called front desk and girl was clueless as to the reason it did not work, next mornjng the printer needed ink in order to print and they were again clueless as to how to replace ink and said wireless was still down. But thats not what I was concerned in with a room, it was a good price and clean room, however the hostess for the breakfast was a extremely rude woman that seemed to really not like her job. I have never encountered anyone this rude in any hotel before. It was not just us, we watched her ignore people and not speak, then when she did speak it was like such an effort. Geez, why work with public with that attitude? But overall it is a great place for a nights sleep enroute to somewhere else. I looked around the area and I think it seemed to be the best in the small area.
