“Older but great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

An older place, exterior entrances, but very well-kept, a great value, great service, and a full breakfast buffet (not just continental).

Reservations were made through Christy, who said I'd like all the staff. She was RIGHT! from Eric who checked us in, to the mgr., checking us out (whose name escapes me at the moment), and everyone in between, including dining staff. The room was clean and comfortable, well equipped with necessary facilities. Everyone pleasant and more than willing to assist with anything that might help us.

Thank you for easing the pain and lifting our spirits.

Renee T.

Enter rooms from outside. Old hotel, not horrible but was acceptable for one night east of downtown. No problems with service or cleanliness. Looks like building has age on it and has been renamed Clarion from old Holiday Inn most likely.

Having to travel with a one year old is diffucult, and having to stay in a hotel for a week can be... well, VERY difficult. My wife and daughter had to travel from TN to Greenville for a death in the family. The circumstances of the trip were, to say the least tragic, but the experience they had while staying at this property was outstanding. From the last minute reservation to check out a week later, everything at this property was incredible. The staff showed obvious pride in their work, going the extra mile with even the smallest of tasks. The room was immaculate, and the housekeepers were as friendly and helpful as family members would be. The room was obviously newly renovated or has cared for with incredible attention to detail. The food at breakfast was delicious, and the dining area was cared for in a way I would expect someone to care for their own kitchen/dining room. The desk staff were happy, helpful, and knowledgable. The management was obviously personally invested in the property, showing kindness and understanding in a personal way to my wife. I could not begin to describe how grateful I am that this was where my family stayed. If there was a 6th star, I would gladly mark it. STAY AT THIS HOTEL~~~ you won't be dissappointed.

Room Tip: I have no suggestions, but will say that from what I saw, nobody staying there was unhappy with thei...

Kristy went above and beyond from check in to check out the next day. She had a smile and even some humor which lightened my day. Also I had 4 large faxes to send to 2 different customers. She ensured they all went properly to their destinations. I had stayed here once before but they have given the place a facelift and it really looks very nice. Chris C.

My first stay here; was a little skeptical because of nightly rate. Reviewed hotel online liked what I saw but knew looks can be deceiving. The quality of room far out weighs nightly rate. Found clean, modern rooms with refrigerators and microwaves at a great value. Free breakfast buffet was a plus. Evident that current owners are concerned with providing the best for their guests.

This hotel is exactly what I rated it...average. If you're going to be there for a while you should know there are no closets. Also, it's an older facility and while they've updated some things you can tell it's old (i.e. the pool).
