“Outdoor fly fight”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Joined friends early and were outside. First, no alcohol except for beer and wine at outside tables. Mixed drinks inside only. There were some flys around the table for 6 and they multiplied to a big swarm when the food came out. Requested to be seated inside. Waiter came back and told us we could move in as soon as a table was open. He came back 10 min later and told us he could not move us. Received no action or move for compensation for the problem. If you can,t control the fly problem or get a full alcohol lic for outdoor then eliminate the outdoor dining area.

“okay bbq”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

I had the brisket; and it was fairly plain stuff. It was, candidly, a bit dry. The atmosphere was neat (i.e. very casual and comfortable), but, I would not go out of my way to come back again.

“No, no, no”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

Sorely disappointed in service, atmosphere (outside back porch - ugh), baked beans, potato salad, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. NONE of the sides are worthy of the pork and choice of sauces. Thank goodness for the terrific corn bread and whipped butter. We won't go back, and that's a shame because I think this restaurant could be something special. The sauces are yummy and the pork was perfectly prepared. But mayo, cabbage and carrots do not make for a good coleslaw. Red potatoes, sour cream, dill and celery do not make for a good potato salad. Mac and cheese need butter and salt before they're finished baking. Soupy baked beans shouldn't happen. And having to ask for your check halfway through your meal because you know you won't see your server for a while is bad. We were excited to try it and sorely disappointed.

“Watchful waitress saves the review...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

We arrived in the evening for a late light supper. This was dessert for me and a bowl of the soup of the day for my sweetie. My Strawberry Beignet was very good. It could have been better if there had been ice cream between the layers instead of a 'fake' whipped cream. My sweetie's soup of the day... was nothing besides the water washed out of the soup bowl. No vegie's, no noodles, and hardly any color to it... IF the watchful waitress had not noticed...all would have been at a loss. EXCEPT Sharron noticed the 'soup' and brought another serving to us. This bowl was brimming with vegie's and noodles and meat. It was excellent in flavor as well. Thank-you again, Sharron.

“delicous south”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

I liked the ribs (really smokey as they were) and the prime rib was one of the best i've ever had. Did anybody already mention the spinach or the sugar peas or the fries? DELICIOUS! Sitting on the balcony is the best place for dinner cou can get in Greenville. And try the beer - it's worth it (even if the wine isn't bad...)
