“Excellent Culinary Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

We took two guests with us on this wonderful culinary tour, also a mini historical, tour of this beautiful city. What a special Sunday afternoon, sampling delicious dishes at five completely different restaurants. Chances are with so many options for restaurants in Greenville, we may not have ever visited the selected restaurants. Each one was unique, special and absolutely delicious. It was an honor to meet the chef and hear the restaurant history. I would highly recommend this tour, and all of John Nolan's historical tours.

“Our favorite way to introduce out-of-town guests to the magic of downtown Greenville!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We retired to the Upstate in 2012 and have already gone on this tour with out-of-town guests four times in the past six months! From 6-9pm on any Tuesday night it is just so much yummy fun!

John Nolan leads up to 20 people to the chef's table at five different downtown restaurants that are all within easy walking distance of each other. You start with a cooking demo at the first stop - Soby's on the Side. It has always been a delicious introduction to the tour - and in our experience - the chef has not repeated the same dish twice.

At each restaurant the chef gives us a small signature dish and a beverage and then shares his culinary philosophy. John Nolan, who also conducts traditional walking tours of the city, gives us a mini history tour of Greenville as we walk between each of the five restaurants.

We have always had more than enough to eat and drink - for a price less than a comparable meal would cost at any of these fine restaurants.

My husband and I are in love with the revitalization of downtown Greenville and spending a few hours with John Nolan is a perfect way to show friends or family our new "home town"!

Reservations for this tour would be a perfect gift for any foodie friends who enjoy the excitement of a beautiful city.

“The highlight of our trip to Greenville, SC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

On a recent trip to Greenville we had the most wonderful experience on the Tuesday evening culinary tour. We visited 5 restaurants and at each restaurant our small group was treated like royalty! The food was spectacular as were the visits from the chef at each restaurant. Also the town of Greenville is such a beautiful city with so many fun things to do. The people are all so warm and friendly .. A wonderful southern town!!

“Simply Amazing!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

One of the most amazing experiences. John was able to organize a private tour as part of a team building event and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From Planning to the final conversation over dessert a great experience.

“A Fun, Interesting, and Tasty Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

The tour was a lot of fun and provided the opportunity to sample food from some of Greenville's best restaurants. The tour was very well organized and everyone was ready for us when we arrived. John and the restaurant folks were very enthusiastic and provided a great many insights into the history of Greenville and the specialties available at the restaurants. I would highly recommend taking this tour and enjoy it with friends or family.
