We are so glad we found Mansfield Plantation. We had the opportunity to stay for a couple of days and found this to be a very beautiful and authentic plantation. You can just imagine yourself living there long ago. Although you feel you have walked back in time, the amenties provided are nice enough to make you comfortable.
The grounds are beautiful and endless. You pretty much have the place to yourself to roam about or to sit and soak it all in. It is large enough for all the guests to spread out and do their own thing. If you love nature, you will love Mansfield.
The location is also fairly close to many activities in the area. We suggest Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park to see Atalaya, the marsh and the beach. These two sites tie together and are a must see. Litchfield, Pawleys Island, Murrell's Inlet and Myrtle Beach are also not far away if you venture out of Georgetown (15 to a 30 minute easy drive).
We are thankful that the owners of Mansfield offer the opportunity to others so that they can experience such a beautiful place. We certainly won't forget our trip and hope to visit again in the future.
