“Not fancy, but good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

We visited with family and friends for dinner. This place is what you would expect at Edisto, not fancy but the seafood is really good. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and the good service. I would certainly go here again.

Nice view of the marina but the food was not very good. I thought the she crab soup was good but the rest of our meal was pretty bad. Decor was awful. Overpriced.

“Great location, a little pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

There was never a doubt that we would eat here. The restaurant was only 100 yards from our unit, and overlooks the Edisto Island marina, so the location was great. I had the seafood three-bo (fish, clams, scallops) which were nicely broiled, and came with a baked potato and green beans. The food was good, and my wife (not a seafood fan) had a really tasty chicken dish. Like most other restaurants on Edisto, it's small, but like the others we tried, it wasn't very busy and we were seated straightaway. Maybe price was a deterrent, as we felty it was expensive compared not just to other Edisto restaurants, but great chains like Bonefish grill.

Still, the fact that we could have non-fried seafood, well-prepared, made this a satisfactory visit.

“An oasis amidst a desert!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Pressleys was a 5 star location in a 2 star area. The location was lovely overlooking the marina and waterways. The service was fast and efficient, the menu varied and interesting our party ate here twice we were so impressed. A little bit more expensive than elsewhere on Edisto but worth every cent more. Our friends were vegans but they found something to eat without difficulty. Definitely worth a visit.

“A little pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

This little place used to be called the Sunset Grill. It opened up around April of this year. The new owners put a fresh coat of paint, new table clothes and spruced it up and opened the bar again. It's a nice place to sit and have a drink at the bar or have a nice dinner. Food is good, service is very good, but the prices are a little high for the surroundings. It has a beautiful view and in season will fill up fast because of its location. It only offers lunch on Saturday which is a shame and hopefully that will change. It would be a great lunch restaurant.
