I just returned from a one night stay at this hotel. The things said in the other reviews about this property are true: check in was quick and easy, staff was extremely nice and helpful, property was located away from the main road and was really quiet, everything was clean and comfortable, linens were nice, etc.
I do however have to mention that I was unable to get the room to a comfortable temperature and the hallways and elevators were HOT. This may not be a big deal to some but when you're trying to get to work, you don't want to be a sweaty mess just walking from the room to your car. Also, if the room isn't cool, I can't rest so I spent an entire night tossing and turning. (I had the thermostat set on 66 degrees but there's no way it was that cool in the room). I would have thought it was just a glitch with the room I was in except my friend witnessed another guest at the front desk complaining about the same issue. I don't think the hallways are cooled which may make it hard to get the room to a comfortable cool.
I also noticed a smell in the room which led me to believe that someone had smoked in the room and it had possibly been cleaned, trying to get rid of the smoke-smell. Two days later, I'm still battling a stuffy nose.
I normally stay at Hilton properties and I would probably stay at this hotel again since I like my HH points...just maybe not in the summer months and I would probably be a little bit more particular about the room that I was given.
Rooms overlooking the pool (on the higher floors) are quiet.

Thank you for taking the time to write a response about our hotel. I am grateful that you were on of our guests, if only for a brief while. In attempt to address your concerns, as we would certainly like to have you as our guest again in the future, we do have air conditioning in the hallways of our hotel. There was a time very recently when we experienced an issue with the main HVAC unit that cools the hallways. It shut down on a Thursday afternoon, and it was the middle of the following week before the correct part could be obtained in order to get us back up and running. After an unseasonably cool summer, it is most unforunate that this problem occurred during one of the hot weeks that we did have. It is even more unfortuante that it impacted you both in the common area's as well as your guestroom. Rest assurred that we took every step possible to expedite the repair, we all wish the part we needed had been in stock. We hope that you will give us another shot when your trravels bring you back this way. Thank you again for your comments.
