Nicely updated Courtyard hotel. Lobby, restaurant and all public areas are nicely redone and high quality. Rooms were also very nice, new carpeting, bathroom fixtures and great mattress with top notch bedding. Wireless internet was fast and free. The area surrounding the hotel is horrible. This is basically a safe haven in the middle of the ghetto. The other hotels in the immediate area are seedy and i have to say i didn't feel very safe venturing out away from the hotel. As far as the previous reviews about car vandalism i have to say i believe every word of it. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my rental car parked in the lot (but what else are you supposed to do?). So to sum it up, despite the fact that the hotel proper is very nice I cannot recommend this Courtyard simply because of the dangerous / seedy area it's located in.

After reading the many negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. My room was located down the hall from the lobby on the first floor. It was clean and spacious. The flatscreen tv was another plus. There is a Wallmart across the highway and plenty of restaurants close by. The free coffee in the lobby was nice. The breakfast looked good but we did not eat there. It was a buffet for $8.95 Had a great trip.

I must disagree with the older reviews!! I just stayed at this Courtyard and had a wonderful stay!!! They must have completed a renovation because all rooms were like "new". I was pleasantly surprised to find a 32 inch flat screen TV awaiting me when I walked into my room. The staff was extremely nice and breakfast although not included in my rate was awesome. Thanks and I will return again.

I had reviewed trip advisor and at check in I asked if they were still doing construction and the clerk said "No they had finished". I got checked in and everything was nice. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Everything when well until my wife and I came back from diner. There were no parking close to our room so we had to park in spaces on the very back of building. We slept well and as we were preparing to load our luggage. I noticed the window on drivers side of my truck had be busted out and my GPS unit was stolen. I called the Police and while I waited two other gentlemen came out and discovered their SUV"s had been broken into also.(same thing, windows smashed out) they had expensive laptop computors stolen. Once Police officer arrived he informed me that as many as 6 situations like this had already happen here at the same location. Always stealing GPS units and Laptop computors. I called the manager and asked him why he didn't inform us about the breakins at check in so we could have been extra cautious.(my GPS unit was not out in the open, only the cradle could be seen from outside the truck,,they got it from center glove box)
I asked him to verify how many breakins had actually had happen in the last month there at that location. He said he couldn't discuss that issue with me and I would have to call his Up line manager. His attitude spoke as if he didn't want to deal with this senative issue, like it had been going on alot.
Sooo, with this said I would advise people not to say here until they do a better job with parking lot safety. someone could have gotta killed back there.
