Description: Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.

“Great atmosphere but food inconsistent”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

Three of us for brunch on a Sunday found friendly and attentive service but the food not as good as we expected. Although trout was fresh with a nice sauce, the crab cakes seemed fried or heavily sauteed. The other diner in our party ordered the brisket and found little meat but a lot of fat on his plate. The menu changes frequently in order to leverage offerings from local farmers and growers, so maybe it will be better next time. We will give it another try.

“Pretty good. ”

The food was enjoyable and atmosphere OK. The cheese plate was OK. My pork chop was very good and cooked to the correct temperature.

“Not just great lunch and dinner, Brunch too.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

My wife and I went to Sunday brunch this past weekend at peak time. We were seated right away. My wife had a pomegranate and proseco cocktail that was amazing. She ordered the crab cakes and pronounced them wonderful, nicely seasoned and no filler. I had the cheese biscuit with maple cured sausage gravy on Adluh grits, it was out of this world. We have been a huge fan of this place for over ten years and glad to know they are still hitting it out of the park. Note: not a place to bring children.

“Fabulous brunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

What a wonderful brunch! My crabcakes and grits were cooked to perfection! The sirachi aioli sauce had just the right amount of heat to it. My husband's biscuit and gravy was superb!

Definitely try some of the cocktails. I had a Prosecco with pomegranate and it was very tasty. I then tried the Hail to Carolina (Prosecco, pomegranate and Grand Marnier!). Wonderful!

“One of the best meals ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

Was referred here by a local and I didn't really expect much. We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night and they were slammed, but they were able to seat us at the bar, which had a view of the kitchen. It turned out to be the best seat in the house! We watched this tiny kitchen pump out a ton of fabulous food. We had a quail app. that was juicy and the best quail I've ever had. Had crab soup that was amazing... and tile fish, which I hadn't had before and now I'm a fan...great atmosphere and service!
Love this place and cant wait to visit columbia again
