Description: Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.

“Lovely food and surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2011

This is a great place for lunch or dinner. The food is well cooked and presented and was the best meal we had during our 2 weeks in the States. The service was excellent and the waiter had time to talk to us about our trip. It is well worth trying and is easy to find as it is in the main drag where most of the restaurants are situated. Don't be put off by the description "fine dining". Casual dress is fine and we even saw men wearing shorts! Not something that would be acceptable in the UK.

“Mixed reviewss at our table”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2011 via mobile

We ate here for lunch on our way thru to Savannah. Ambience was outside. Nicely shaded with an awning. Service was excellent. My husband had the shrimp puttanesca, which he would order again. I triedthe black bean soup and an asparagus mozzarella tomatoe salad. Which was a little bland. Chocolate torte for a dessert, had a fudge like consistency and was okay. Overall a 3.5 out of 10. But I think it really makes a difference in want you order. Menu changes daily

“Interesting restaurant with great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2011

A very nice dining experience. Menu is revised each day and while not extensive you can always count on the basic choices of steak and seafood. Seating is a little tight and somewhat loud. Probably better for younger crowd ( under 50) that does not include me. We sat outside which was very nice. Service could not have been better. Good wine list and not overpriced.

“Could be Better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2011

This restaurant needs improvement. The service was slow and we felt uncomfortable while we were waiting because the room was drafty from overhead fans. The food was mediocre and not very exciting for a trendy restaurant.

“Great Food and Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2011

Columbia was an overnight stopover on the way to Savannah. I can't say much for Colombia at night, but Motor Supply Co. is well worth the stop. The name kind of throws you as it was the name of a former occupant that sold car parts. The food on the other hand was superb. I had trigger fish and my wife had the duck. We would go back if we ever passed through the area again.
