We had high expectations based on other reviews, but were sorely disappointed by the extremely stingy portions, high prices and the very poor quality of the dishes we ordered.
The only redeeming qualities were good service by an enthusiastic waitress, and a pleasant atmosphere. The antipasto of meat and cheese platter consisted of the palest, tasteless salami, a microscopic piece of prosciutto, and a dot of another ham. There were no recognizable Italian cheeses. Charge for the platter: $12.00!
When we requested plain bread instead of the garlic bread served, we were charged $1.00 a slice!
The spaghetti was inferior and oil-soaked, the portion stingy. The sauce was served in a tiny dish customarily used for nuts or olives. By some oversight, we were not charged for a second helping.
Our sad conclusion was that Il Giorgione is pretentious pizza parlor that failed us miserably in its pretensions.
will never tell our friends to visit this establishment nor would we either.
