“Simply Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

It's been the center of debate and scenes that would embarrass many people, but thankfully the Wonderul Palmetto State has a Capitol building to be proud of. Whether you're from the state or not, there are beautiful statues and memorials on the state house grounds. Park the car and climb the steps...you'll love it and learn something of history too.

“Halls of democracy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

We took a tour of the State House. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions posed by our group. It is a beautiful building with a great deal of history. The legislature was not in session when we visited.

You could spend an hour or 2 just walking around and learning about the history of this massive building! The grounds are beautiful!

“Nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

We weren't able to get inside, because it was Saturday. The building itself and the gardens and statues are beautiful and since I love Civil War history it was interesting to see the scars on the building due to Sherman's destruction in 1865.
