“One of Columbia's best dining choices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Momo's Bistro is a great experience with excellent food. The service is very good and there are great choices on the menu. It's best to go when Ross Holmes is singing because that makes the evening. The crowd is on the older side. Very much like happy hour at Sun City...but the crowd was having fun. Overall....great food and highly recommend.

“Mixed experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

Three of us dined here for brunch. The crab cakes Benedict were deemed very good and the shrimp and grits was acceptable, but not memorable. One of the party had the prime rib sandwich, which turned out to be the main disappointment. Most of the contents of the sandwich was fat with very little meat. Service was very poor and inattentive. We even had to find a wait person at one point even though the restaurant had very few customer. We would not return to this restaurant.

“Awesome meal that hits your tummy just right :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Went to Momo's for dinner and tried their fried oysters for the very first time. Im a regular customer of Momo's for years now but have not tried much of their appetizers as their entrees fills up my tummy most of the time. The fried oysters tasted so good and i wanted to order another plate of it but decided to go for the entree and i went for the filet mignon. Meat was so tender and juicy. Asparagus was cooked well and the taste of the meat was so yummy.
Hubby went for prime rib eye and the flavor blend so well and I love the mushrooms that goes with it. We had few glasses of wine and it has been a date night for us without a plan though.
As for dessert, we tried the Ganache choc and as a chocolate lover, we both enjoyed it so much.
We did have the fried oysters to go too before leaving.
Overall, we had a pleasant and fantastic dinner after a long time in Columbia.
Thanks guys and keep up with the good work.

“Different Menu”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Interesting restaurant. We tried it for Sunday Brunch. Made a reservation for 2 adults and was seated right away. Seated at a table for 4 but with only 3 chairs...it just felt a little off. I noticed that other tables had the same seating options. Nice upscale atmosphere. A place to dress up nice and linger over a few drinks. Server was pleasant and eager to help us with anything we needed.

The food was good and presentation was lovely but seemed a bit overpriced given the small portions. I tried the crab cakes benedict. Tasty and would get them again. Nothing else comes with the crab cakes though, no bread basket, no hash browns, etc. You get your 2 crab cakes with 2 stalks of asparagus and a slice of tomato. My husband had the the buffet which was nice since he could go back as many times as he wanted.

The dinner menu is quite different however, I'm not sure I would want to go back to try it any time soon. Overall, not a bad experience. Just not an experience that makes me want to go back anytime in the near future.

“Great Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Just returned from a great dining experience at MoMo's, I am from New york and have traveled around the country and Europe, I have been in many fine restaurants and can't remember having a better meal, The food was exceptional (tried the scallops, shrimp and had the filet mignon), The ambiance was great, the live music was excellent (Don Russo) and our waiter was fabulous. We asked the waiter if we could talk to the chef. He came out, a very pleasant person, and we told him we wished he would open a restaurant in our area.

I will be back and highly recommend MoMo's for those who are looking for an excellent upscale, dining experience.
