We were visiting Clemson as part of a college tour and stopped by Pixie & Bill's based on the reviews here. After our dinner, I'm surprised so many folks rated it "Excellent". I'm going with "Very Good", but if I could I give a 3.5. My party felt the place could really use some updating both inside and out. The area we sat in (surrounded by glass in the front of the restaurant) was visibly dirty in areas (cobwebs in the corner of the room) and just felt old and worn out. Our waitress was a Clemson student and was excellent. As far as the food goes, we all felt the menu was too busy, fewer choices would likely benefit the food quality. 3 of the 4 of us started with the lobster bisque and all thought it was good. Salads were also good with homemade dressing. I had the blackened Ribeye and scallops and thought they were good (steak was better of the two). My wife had the scampi and did not like it, uninspired with very little flavor. The other two in my party liked their entrees although nothing special. In all, not bad, but could be better with a little updating and a fresher menu.
