“Repurposed Esso Station is classic college stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

Surprised that I enjoyed deep fried pickle chips. The diner/bar is full of Clemson memorabilia and good food. A laid back atmosphere with wings in many flavors; we liked the medium and dry rub versions we ate along with sweet onion rings.

“Don't recommend”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This place was recommended to us by a college student when we were visiting a faculty friend on campus. We both had the meat and 3. We both felt it was very heavy food, overly salty and overly sugared (cobbler). If that's what you like, you'll love it. My friend and I did not. I will say that it seems to be a Clemson experience, so I am rating it average. The atmosphere is something to see - an old gas station. It was inexpensive.

“I've experienced all the changes since the late 60's!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Use to live on Oak Street in a garage apartment steps from the Esso Club. Have seen numerous changes over the many years and each time (including new owners) has been an interesting transition. It is very different from what it use to be long ago, but the best place to go before and after a football game. The crowd is friendly, the food pretty good, and the beer cold at a fair price. Plus you can catch some live music. Plenty of screens if you decide to stay there instead of going to Memorial Stadium. And after the game a great place to hang out.

“Blast from the Past!!!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

This is an old standard for home Clemson football games and especially at Homecoming. It has bar food (sandwiches, wings, appetizers) as well as the daily 'meat & 3' specials. On 'football Fridays' they have a limited menu so options are much less than the regular menu. It is what it is...a beer joint that is very nostaligic for Clemson alumni!
