“Awesome Place to Stay!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Clemson Alum coming back for the Georgia State game: Everyone was incredibly nice, attentive staff (Chris P.) helped us out a lot (finding local spots, late night snack options, etc). Really love the new look and feel of the hotel, the University colors adorn the walls of the rooms and bring back pleasant memories!

Great location, friendly staff (John). Room was nice and well thought out. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Plenty of storage area. The bathroom a little small but shower stall area was big. Only wish there were more hooks in bathroom area to hang clothes. Breakfast was very good. Choices of cereals, yogurts, fruits, breads(toast, bagel, & biscuit) sausage gravy, cheese egg omelet, and homemade waffles. Kitchen staff wonderful by refilling food never running out. Great location close to downtown Clemson and close to Clemson football field. Restaurants near hotel that we ate at was Ruby Tuesday and Pizza Hut. Next door to hotel was a Long John Silvers and KFC together. Across the street a Walgreen. When we go back to Clemson we will try to stay again at HOTEL TILLMAN! Thank you John for all your help.

Room Tip: Room was in the middle. (211) close to all exits. We could walk up a stairs or take elevator. Train...

Great room, great sleep. Will stay there again. First time I have stayed in a Clemson hotel but this will not be the last time I stay at the Hotel Tillman. I read some bad reviews about it, but those reviews were before the the remodeling job. Our room was beautiful, beds were very comfortable. I slept like a baby. Continental breakfast is good.

Room Tip: 211 was room we stayed in. So I can't speak of other rooms, but I didn't hear anyone complai...

This is just a very average budget motel. Why they call it a Boutique Hotel remains mysterious. The rooms are average, clean, but budgety, not particularly tastefully decorated. The breakfast is minimal, self Service, pre-fab, nothing special at all. The location is convenient for drivers, on Tiger Avenue, but very noisy.

It was fun. Cute boutique hotel with Clemson decorations. Photographs were great. Breakfast was really good. Bed was great. Shower head was great. Room was adequate. Small hotel was fine. Train track was close behind the hotel. Only heard train once during the night.

Having previously stayed at this hotel when it was whatever it used to be, I was blown away by the new look, new decor, everything. The bed was comfortable. The color scheme was very modern and obviously dedicated to Clemson University. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were extra fluffy. We will definitely stay here again now that we know the whole atmosphere is much better!

In a recent stay at the Hotel Tillman, I did not know what to expect. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff and was mesmerized by the lobby as you enter. The hotel is beautiful! I understand that it has been newly renovated and now has the distinction as the only boutique hotel in Clemson. They deserve a lot of praise and applause for a job well done! The rooms were spacious and very clean (check out the duvet's, white and crisp) and the hot breakfast was outstanding too. I travel frequently and have many guests in town for events, etc. This is now my first choice for hotel accommodations. Thank you to the staff!
