“Great Hotel and Reasonably Priced for Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

This hotel is recently remolded and we had a wonderful experience. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The beds are very comfortable and room decor is great. Close to shopping, resturants, historical sites and beaches. The $15 food voucher is great for breakfast. The omelet station on the weekend and pecan topped french toast was fantastic. We stayed here 3 nights and will come back again if in the area. The pool area was nicely furnished but this time of year no one was using it. We were here celebrating our anniversary and had not been to Charleston in many years.

Room Tip: Pool view, 2nd floor are quiter but more walking to resturant and parking lot.

First time at Town & Country in Charleston, and had a very nice, comfortable stay. The hotel seems to be going through some major renovations on the facade at the entrance, and if the same were done to the rooms, they did a very nice job! Breakfast was very good up in Trotters restaurant as well. Location was very well suited if you're going downtown or going out to Kiawah, which we were. I very much recommend Town & Country Inn.

Thank you so much for trying out our new hotel. I am so glad that you had a very nice experience and thought our new construction guestrooms and exterior lobby renovation had been well done. Thanks also for the compliments on our on-site restaurant, Trotters and for the convenience of our location to downtown Charleston. If there is anything I can do for you in the future please let me know.

I was in town a couple of weekends ago for golf and some good food. We heard Town and Country had finished construction on their rooms so we gave it a shot. WOW, these rooms were very nice and the staff was extremely friendly. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were amazing, and the price tag is very reasonable. We will definitely stay here again.

That is exactly what we want to hear for our guests!! Thank you so very much for taking the time to share your experiences and how impressed you were with our guestrooms, bedding, bathrooms, and service. Most importantly, it was apparent that you were impressed with the value of what you received for what you paid which reinforces our value proposition. Keep in mind that guests who book directly though the hotel received a $15.00 per day Food and Beverage Voucher as well.

Beautifully remodeled, not to far from downtown, you have to meet guest services representative Jennyffer, very friendly and welcoming. Do not accept pets anymore and the inside pool has not been completed yet, BUT the beds and amenities are very nice.

Room Tip: Had no problems in any location.

Thank you for pointing out that you thought we did a wonderful remodel and that our location is not far away from the downtown Charleston sights and activities. I am very pleased to hear that you were received and served in a friendly and welcoming way from our representative Jennyffer and I will thank her for her service and show her your review mentioning her. We are hoping to be through exterior construction by late April this year (Hope for good weather!!)

There is still some work on the facade of the front, but it doesn't affect one's stay. The rooms are very nicely done and reasonably priced; Trotter's Restaurant has a good breakfast and the desk is extremely helpful. The only downside is the location--a fair distance from downtown, particularly during rush hour. That is the only reason I gave it a four, rather than 5 star rating. Otherwise an excellent experience.

Room Tip: All are back from the road and quiet

Thanks so much for pointing out that you felt our new hotel guestrooms were "nicely done and reasonably priced" and that you also enjoyed our restaurant. I am so glad to hear that! As you mentioned our hotel is not located in downtown Charleston. Our outstanding value proposition is that we deliver downtown guestroom standards, services, and amenities for hundreds of dollars less per night than one would pay for a comparable downtown hotel room in exchange for a six mile drive to the very heart of downtown Charleston (corner of King Street and Market Street).

The facade of the building was still under construction when we were there. The room was newly updated and beautiful. The comforter on the bed is just too warm for a room in Charleston. We got a blanket from the front desk and left the comforter folded in the corner while we were there. Our King Jr. suite also had 2 chairs at the foot of the bed. These tub chairs are not at all comfortable to sit in. They are too small for a big guy like my husband, and the the arms were too high for me to sit in comfortably. Hubby used the desk chair and I sat on the bed. Pay attention to the dates and times on the restaurant voucher, only one can be used per day. It makes the tasty breakfast buffet affordable. The bed was very comfortable.

We visited my daughter to work on some wedding details MLK weekend. I had seen the hotel before and didn't think much of it but the price was right and it was close to her. It is under renovation on the outside but the rooms appear to have just been redone. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The only glitch was our room did not get cleaned one day so when we walked in to unmade beds and not so fresh towels it was a little disappointing. The front desk clerk was very apologetic and said she was the only one on staff at the moment. This was 6:00 at night. She was waiting on the security and she would bring us clean towels. We told her never mind we would be fine as we were leaving the next morning. I did feel safe as the only way into the hotel was to use your key card. This was comforting as it was just my other daughter and myself. We were given coupons for food or drink but never used them. I will definitely come back and stay when I visit my daughter and soon to be husband. It would have been helpful also to have had a tv channel guide too. And we loved the Charleston and Palate magazines in the room.

Thanks for your review of our new hotel. You were correct that the guestrooms are new construction and our lobby and exterior are in the process of being totally renovated. I did speak to our Executive Housekeeper and she noted that a do not disturb sign had been posted in the door of your guestroom indicating not to clean the room. I am terribly sorry about any confusion on that. We have a policy in place now that if a guestroom is not being cleaned due to a do not disturb sign being posted by a guest we post a letter under the door notifying that guest. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know.
