.........But I really don't get what the others said about smell, parking, etc.
Look, it's a Comfort Inn, I didn't expect the Four-Seasons. It delivered what I thought it would. A clean room, smallish but really OK. Everything worked in the room (mysteriously lost ESPN for a couple of days), but that was a DISH TV issue. No smells in the place for me. Don't have a clue what the dude is talking about in his review. Parking could be a pain if you came in late at night, but there were enough spaces for everybody, and it was packed when I was there because of the PGA Championship that weekend. Beds were comfy, room was utilitarian, like I said, it was a Comfort Inn. It was just fine. Breakfast was OK at best, pretty average, but it was free and the coffee was hot. Location was fine but it wasn't a walk to downtown, it was a ride but only 5 mins or so. Only thing I have to say is that like I have found with most hotels in Charleston (and I've stayed at some of the best and others that' aren't), they're all overpriced IMHO. This placed was close to $200/nite which, to me, is pricey for what it is. But, as I said, it was the weekend of the PGA and I'll bet every hotel in Chartleston lifted their pricing 10/20%.
