Seeing as how the other asian cuisine restaurants on King Street (Basil & Tasty Thai) are way overpriced for what they are dishing out, I was excited to try Fire Street Food in hopes that a better and much cheaper asian restaurant could make it's way onto the King Street scene. Those hopes were crushed pretty quickly. While the prices are fairly decent, ranging from $6 all the way up to $15, the food is lacking. I ordered the crispy spring rolls as a starter and found them to be just average. The texture wasn't crunchy enough and the filling was lacking in flavor. The pad thai wasn't any better. It came dripping with sauce so much so that it overwhelmed the noodles. The sauce itself was so sweet that it almost didn't even taste like pad thai. While I can't keep you from trying this place out yourself, I would highly advise you try some of the more wonderful restaurants on King Street.
