“Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

My husband and I went here for lunch. We both had a sandwich and salad bar. We were at the restaurant around 2pm and it was pretty quite, service was fast and efficient and the food was great. I had a Rueben and he had Pastrami, the salad bar was also good.

“Awesome selection and great local flavor.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

We got three different sandwiches and loved them all. The meat was deli quality, the bread fresh and home made and even the chips that came with it were just the right amount of crunch and salt! Loved it. Value was awesome as well, the sandwiches were almost too big. Definitely come back again.

“Close to Ft. Sumpter Boats and Aquarium”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

We did the Ft. Sumpter 9:30 tour which puts you back at 11:30 and everyone was hungry. A member of the boat crew recommended East Bay Deli. It is a 3 block walk from the boat dock. Reminded me of a New York Deli. Menu on boards (they do have a menu you can hold and read). My mother and uncle got the Reuben and said it was wonderful. Husband got the Charleston sandwich and I got the French Dip (don't remember its name). Everyone loved their food. Only regret was my husband didn't see that they offered french fries on the menu instead of chips (for an extra fee). They also had a nice looking salad bar. Since the sandwiches are made fresh it took a little bit of time to get the items we ordered (order at the counter and they deliver them to you). The restaurant has limited seating and gets busy after the ferry boat comes in, luckly for us it was on July 4th so it was only tourists and no local traffic.

“Tasty stop near Ft Sumter Visitors Center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

If your on your way to the Ft. Sumter Vistors Center and are getting hungry this is a convienent and fast place to eat. It is modeled after a NY deli and gives you alot of items to chose from. I ordered the New York Yankee and received a very tasty corned beef and pastrami that was big and filling. They had multiple sauces available for condiments should you want them and the help yourself drink refills comes in handy for hot & humid Charleston. It will get a line during lunch rush hour but service still moves along pretty well.

“Good for quick lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

My wife had a rubin and I had the charleston chicken sandwich. Both were good and mine was very flavorful. If I am ever back in Charleston, I would eat there again.
