You can enjoy salads, soups, and a wide variety of sandwiches here, all quickly prepared and well executed.

“Really good spot for lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Just happened to pull in here because I wanted a rueben and we went back for lunch 3 out of our next 4 days. What can you say, it's kind of hard to mess up a sandwich if you start with good ingredients but East Bay really does a good job. Some of the sandwiches were huge so my wife and I ended up splitting them.
Next time I think I'll try the loaded baked potato. I didn't know taters even grew that big! Little footballs is what they were and stuffed with chili and whatever else you wanted. The local cops really seemed to like them.
Cookies, brownies, cakes oh my. It was all good. Next time I'll take a ruler to measure the 5 or 6 layer chocolate cake. The one piece we got and split must've been a foot high. And yes, it was good! East Bay Deli is on Hwy. 17 south just a few minutes out of downtown Charleston. Try it, you'll like it.

“Quaint little eatery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Very popular, great value, can be noisy and is almost always full. Full means it is good..... There is a large variety of sandwiches, as well as a salad bar.

“Fresh Food at East Bay Deli”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

A change of pace from the high-priced Charleston restaurants. Fresh and delicious subs, salads, and sandwiches are served. This very recommended for a family on a budget. You can park in front which is unusual for downtown Charleston. Its convenient to the Aquarium and Fort Sumter tour boat dock. Clean. Interesting and comfortable for a deli. Selections available for even your most picky of eaters.

“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

We ate here on Christmas Eve right before closing time. The staff was very friendly and the food was great! They had a great selection and portions were very large. We had a sandwich and a baked potato....which was huge. The salad bar looked great also. I will definitely return when we are in Charleston again!
