Excellent Sunday Brunch. Try the Eggs Benedict and the French Toast. Great drink specials. Give it a try.

“Southern Charm at it's Finest!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We visited High Cotton back in June for my husband's birthday. Everything during our experience was top notch. The hostess was very pleasant and graciously gave us a lovely table by the window. The room was designed very well in the layout, and had grand high ceilings, just an overall very pretty and comfortable decor.

We began our evening with a lovely cheese plate and bottle of champagne. Our server and back server, Rob were also very friendly and gave us excellent recommendations. Which I am pretty sure, nothing on their menu would ever disappoint. I had a white fish, which was very tasty and moist as it was paired perfectly with vegetables on the plate. My husband went for the lamb rack, which was a very large in portion and amazingly tasty. What we loved here is that the dinner was not rushed at all, we were able to take the time to enjoy our champagne and move on to a nice red to have with our main courses after our appetizers.

We finished by sharing a fruit tart with ice cream that was to die for. It was just such a lovely evening that we won't forget. We can't wait to return.

“An Amazing Favorite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Business casual. Reservations for sure (ours 6:30pm). Celebrated our Anniversary here :-) Bar with jazz several evenings, Classy, Large, Diningroom (tables and a few booths). Husband called ahead and there was a lovely Congratulatory/welcoming card on our table. Service Superb!! Shrimp, Scallops & Lobster Grits amazingly rich and good. Clams, etc. in sauce with bread crazy good. Dessert yummy. Wine and champagne perfect. Timing of service PERFECT!! Expensive but we can't wait to return!!!

“Very rude hostess”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

This is the first time we have given a bad review. We did not eat there, but felt compelled to mention the rudeness of the hostess working on Sunday, Sept 1st during brunch. We arrived 15 mins before High Cotton closed at 2pm and were patiently waiting behind a man, woman and small infant as the man was trying to make reservations that night and the hostess never acknowledged us. We finally asked if we could be seated and the dark haired girl behind tbe podium stated "No - we closed 5 mins ago." We had assumed since she didn't say anything when we walked in earlier when she clearly observed us, that arriving 15 mins before brunch was over was not a problem. The place was crowded and we saw a few open tables. I said "Would you please seat us, we walked quite a ways from our B&B and we arrived before closing." She said rudely "No" and turned her attention back to the man. We probably should have asked for a manager, but at the time we just decided it was probably a bad sign if a restaurant hired someone who would treat guests like that. I decided to post this review instead and hope a manager will see it and properly train her. A simple "Sorry we closed early" when we first walked in would have been sufficient. She was very rude in demeanor and gave a bad impression for a restaurant that prides itself on southern hospitality. We instead had a wonderful meal and service at another restaurant.

“High cotton charleston”

Made reservations although on our date they were taking people without them. Service was slow for a half dead restaurant. The yellowfin tuna melt was amazing!
