“Elegant Fine Dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

This restaurant was located in Charleston Place and great for a special night out. They had a live jazz quartet, white table clothes, rich paneled walls, well dressed host and hostesses and excellent atmosphere. We had the crab cake for an appetizer and Frogmore Stew and Salmon for dinner. Both were prepared perfectly. We shared the Lemon Baked Alaska that was the perfect ending to an excellent dinner. The servers are very attentive and the overall experience was top notch. Would recommend a minimum of business casual attire.

“Ya"ll leave Charleston Grinning!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013 via mobile

A great place for posh dining. The ambience was amazing, the service sublime and the food fabulous. The foie gras as good as any overstuffed goose could render in France. An eclectic medley on the menu that an eccentric or sane gourmand could enjoy. Expensive but worth it. As fine as any resturant in Manhattan or the Continent. Highly recommend it. They also had a jazz trio on with pretty good renditions.

“Pricey but well worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

My experience at the Charleston Grill was great. But you have to know going into it that you will spend a lot of money. This was our one night out that we got dressed up, ordered a nice bottle of wine (one of the best pinot noirs I've ever had), and didn't feel bad about splurging. It is also definitely an older crowd. If you are under 30, expect to be one of only a few in the place.

“Excellent in all respects”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

When we arrived, the maitre'd told us we would leave with a smile on our faces, and we did. Service, food and live music all five star. The music was an unusual combination of violin and guitar, and they provided the perfect balance to the restaurant. Charleston's best!

“Elegant, upsacale, good food and pricy...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

Located at the Charleston Palace Hotel. It is a very elegant and upscale restaurant. We were a bit under-dressed but still felt comfortable...
The live-Jazz trio definitely added to the nice atmosphere.
We ordered the Seared Foie Gras, Charleston Grill Crab Cake, Frogmore Stew (seafood stew) and Grilled Wild Salmon.
Service was great!

In summary, it is a good restaurant, although it felt at times a bit sterile...
