My husband and I ate at the Applebee's on Sam Rittenburg Blvd on Thanksgiving night after arriving from N.C. The waitstaff and manager were very attentive and that was good. However, the "music" (?) was HORRIBLE and LOUD! There were only a few customers in the restaurant and my husband and I had to almost yell at each other a few times to be heard over the horrible, 'head banging' music! How uncondusive to a pleasant meal! This is a reasaurant where different ages of people eat---not a nightclub for young people who don't know what music really is. Also, I ordered a French dip and it came served OPEN with so much lettuce and tomatoes that I asked my husband, "How do I dip this?" A true French dip does NOT have lettuce and tomatoes on it and it is served with the bun closed! My husband ordered a bacon hamburger that he said, "well, it is just okay----nothing special." I would suggest that Applebees tone down their music and pay attention to how a French dip should be served!
