On a recent trip to Charleston with adult family members we saw the sights and tried out as many restaurants as we could. The best of our experiences was what some locals refer to as SNOB. We thought this was the best meal we had in Charleston. The atmosphere is sophisticated and elegant, but not snobby or stuffy. Service was excellent -- attentive, but never rushed. One of our party compared a local favorite -- shrimp and grits -- at four different spots during our visit, and proclaimed SNOB's version as best by far. No contest from the rest of us either -- we all enjoyed our best meal here from among all the restaurants we tried.
