Description: Slightly North of Broad is a Lowcountry bistro that brings together an abundance of local ingredients and thoughtful, expert presentation with a friendly, contagious energy. Here the dining room is a natural extension of the kitchen, a place where culinary skill, a clever, considered wine program, warm service, and conversations meld together. Our local farmers, fishermen and producers are as integral to the food we make as they are to our place in this community.

“Best Dinner We Enjoyed IN Charleston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

On a recent trip to Charleston with adult family members we saw the sights and tried out as many restaurants as we could. The best of our experiences was what some locals refer to as SNOB. We thought this was the best meal we had in Charleston. The atmosphere is sophisticated and elegant, but not snobby or stuffy. Service was excellent -- attentive, but never rushed. One of our party compared a local favorite -- shrimp and grits -- at four different spots during our visit, and proclaimed SNOB's version as best by far. No contest from the rest of us either -- we all enjoyed our best meal here from among all the restaurants we tried.

“Great food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

So far, all the restaurants we tried in Charleston have exceeded expectations. They are all great.( all selections based on Trip Advisor recommendations). Had lunch at SNOB for my daughter's birthday. We had a reservation for 11:30, and were promptly seated at a very nice corner table ( half booth like seats) near the kitchen. The cornbread basket was pretty buttery. We also ordered the Potato chips, just the right blend of sweet, salty and spicy. Yummy. My husband and I ordered the special of the day Wahoo, cooked just rice on top of green beans, pecans and feta with a slight vinaigrette taste. Quite delicious. My daughter ordered the Picnic lunch, unique plate of pickled veggies, hardboiled eggs, pimiento toast and a pate like bread. Again, great combination of flavors. Birthday girl had the Salmon, which matched well with the chimichurri sauce and corn. We're all quite pleased with the delicious meal. Plus, my daughter got a free dessert with a candle for her birthday. She chose the Peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream, great choice, just great food. Nice atmosphere, and efficient service despite the fact that they're packed during the lunch hour.

“Super food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

We dined at S.N.O.B. this past Thursday night (6/26/14) and walked in without a reservation. We only waited about 15 minutes for a table and the food was worth the wait. There was 2 of us and we had the beef carpaccio, fried green tomatoes, the quail, and the strawberry salad..WOW!!!

I do love the small/share plate concept that they have here, if desired...Even though there were others waiting for a table, we never felt rushed by any member of the waitstaff..

Only one item I was not 100% thrilled about was that our waitperson did not bring back all of my change so that I could leave the tip, but instead kept some and then I had to refigure on how much additional tip to leave...but that was minor as everything will beacon me to come back next time I am in town. Please go when in town,

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

We have been to snob twice already and going back again July 4th weekend. The First time we were just walking around looking for a place to eat and just decided to go in and see if we could find a table. The place was very crowded but they managed to sit us at chef's table. Being vegetarian we ordered the veg plate....it was one of the best meals we had. My husband and I ordered one plate each. It was too much for us to finish. We were there in June of 2014 went back there. Same good service and excellent food. Going back to charleston July 4th weekend with family and have made reservations to eat there once again.

“S.N.O.B. is the best!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

In a city of great restaurants S.N.O.B. stands out head and shoulders above the rest.
We have been there for dinner several times and the service was exceptional and the food out of this world. The last time we were there, I had mussels cooked in coconut milk that was to die for!!! The rest of the meal was equally spectacular. You definitely need reservations because this restaurant is very popular and with good reason. The food is all local and crisp and the fish is gleaming with freshness. There are a lot of choices on the menu so it will be difficult to make a decision, but whatever you choose---enjoy!!!
