“perfect choc chip pancakes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

As the title says, the only thing letting this place down is the slighly rushed and stressed service. Good food at good prices just off the main restaurant area in charleston

“Good Southern Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

My wife and I decided to see if we could find a place to visit that was on the show Diners, Drive Inns & Dives, and we found Dixie's. Went for Breakfast one Saturday morning. No line around 8:30 AM, but by 9, got pretty busy. You order a the counter and can either sit inside or out. I had the Eggs Benedict with lump crab meat...it was wonderful. We meant to try the Tomato pie, but by the time we remembered, the line was too long to wait in again. We will go back again when we visit.

“Great meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

When we first saw the restaurant we weren't sure about it, it is attached to a convenience store. But having seen the reviews on it we had to try it. It is very small so you might have to eat outside, they have some tables outside. The food was great, best we had in Charleston, and the prices were good. Save room for desert.

“Another good meal....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

Another place we heard about from the TV FoodMaps.com. Small inside seating, but outside seating also. Our meal was quite good. Charleston surely does have terrific restaurants and the restaurants we enjoyed most on our visit to Charleston were from TV Foodmaps.com.

“Tomatoe Pie at its Best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Off the beaten path in what seems to be a converted something or other behind a parking lot this restaurant is a uniqued Charleston experience. Come casual and come with a appetite. Indoor seating hard to find during lunch. Some outdoor tables. Tomatoe Pie is wonderful as are other dishes.
