“Excellent Breakfast and Sweets”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

People wait in line at this place....especially the locals! Again small but worth the stop! The pastry and sweets case alone will make your mouth water. How about the Island Omelet: local shrimp, caramelized onion & Brie! You gotta have the grits with it as well for a real low country breakfast!

“Decent food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

This place is in a little shopping center, with some outdoor seating and very casual. We went with our 6 month old and sat outside, it was pretty warm inside. I had the shrimp and grits...it was pretty good, might have been better if hotter - the shrimp were excellent and cooked perfectly, the cornbread on top was yummy and so was the bacon. Cold grits aren't awesome though. My hubby liked the shrimp Blt with fried green tomato it had a yummy mustardy sauce. We got 3 desserts - the charleston chew was sooo good! Reminded me of a pecan pie in some ways. The blueberry dessert wasn't so amazing, but hubby liked his chocolate marshmallow dessert. Sweet tea wasn't amazing but good ice! 15$ for shrimp and grits for lunch same prices for dinner I think.

“A good discovery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This is little shop with very unusual name for restaurant. It is very informal and can be quite crowded. Also, it's not on a major street, but the good food at reasonable prices is the reason.

“Very good and Very Popular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

It was great food, but the wait was 40 minutes. It is extremely small place but the Saturday brunch was excellent. Arrive early!
