My sister is a vegetarian and so for this trip - her first ever - to Charleston, I did a lot of research of restaurants at restaurants.com going through menus to find a place both vegetarian friendly AND meat for me. I found this restaurant and the menu showed a "Vine-rippened Tomato Pie", which sounded absolutely perfect so I bought a certificate for this and was happy I could find a place with something other than a salad for her. BUT when we arrived and got our menus, no tomato pie on the menu and the wait staff did not seem to know anything of this item. BUT she did say the chef could make anything we wanted and he would be happy to try to make one. So this was a huge disappointment. BUT the menu had several other very vegetarian friendly dishes and so eneded up being very very great.
I even ended up with a vegetarian pasta dish because it sounded to good to pass up.
SO, all in all the food was exceptional and the service top rated.
Parking is not easy, but there is a parking garage attached to the hotel, which the Swamp Fox is attached to.
