“Small cramped coffee house”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

It was the only place open on Christmas day. It was small and cramped and the food was average. It had Indain type food and you could get flavored hooka, if you are into that sort of stuff.

“Our favorite coffee shop in Charleston”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

My wife loves their Chai Latte while I enjoy their regular espresso latte

We stopped by a couple of times during our latest trip to Charleston. The second time was on Christmas Day morning - we arrived just as the owner did - about an hour before the official opening hour - but he let us in early anyway

“Great for lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

They make their own chicken salad with walnuts, cranberries, and apples. Almost like a great Waldorf Salad on a croissant! We had the warm apple cider, too since the temp was very chilly. It was good, too! Across the street from the City Market so convenient. Dine in or out front.

“Great place to rest and ponder”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

We were pointed towards this by staff in a store on the other side of Market Street as we had been out early and were gasping for a coffee by 11am.

The café is set off the street a little, with both inside seating and outside tables, with plenty of shade and birds who are used to being fed on any titbits remaining. The coffee was good and served in big mugs and the baklava was excellent. Not as sweet as we have had in Turkey or Greece, but delicious and all the better since the café had a special offer if you bought three pieces.

It's a pleasant place to sit for a while and watch the world go by and we left refreshed and ready to go back to the retail scrum of the market building

“Great Little Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

Very well done! The coffee was very good. The baklava was different. Not as much honey as I am used to. The used safflower oil, maybe, or saffron. It was very difficult to tell and possibly pistachios. It was good. The staff were very friendly and fun.

They claim to be open the earliest in the area and I believe it.
