“Laughed, laughed, laughed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

Saturday night's season opening performance of " A Sweet T Christmas" was a hilarious success! Even with a full house in this "intimate" venue, everyone (along with me) was literally hooting with laughter. Rather than a real mystery, it turned out to be a heart-warming Christmas story. Some of the audience members were great volunteer performers in the second act, and "Santa" knew just how to play along with them.
I understand that this is a family-run "from scratch" venture. Best wishes to the owners! You are our kind of folks--we are glad you brought this corny, silly, and oh-so-fun attraction to Charleston.

“Absolutely hilarious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

Don't expect professional theater here. It is simple, silly, and thoroughly fun. It requires a lot of audience participation which can make or break the show. A few references are a little risque, but nothing foul or embarrassing at all. We will definitely go again when back in Charleston, and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have a very lighthearted good time. Our favorite thing that we did on our entire trip.

“Thoroughly entertaining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

Our thirty-member family group had a fun time at one of the productions which was not really a who-dun-it, mystery theater. Instead, Yo Ho Ho and a Botttle of Yoo Hoo was a goofy mash up of a dead pirate captains' convocation and ensuing competition for the hidden treasure. Several of us had roles in the audience participation second act and flaunted our amateur thespian skills. If you're looking for high art or hoity-toity, snooty theater, go elsewhere, as I would when that's what I want. If you have an open mind and looking for a good time, this fits the bill.

“Something Different and Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

This is a tiny theater with seating in very close quarters, plus a server trying to maneuver to serve drinks and snacks. However, we saw the ' Sweet T Christmas' and found it entertaining. It is definitely an audience participation event, and the audience can make or break the experience. We had a few volunteer 'actors' who did it up right and it was funny. Not so funny when kids are reading the lines as you can't hear them, and they are not able to put the nuances and inflections on the script. The actors should choose more carefully in that regard. The snacks were nothing to write home about, but since we hadn't eaten all day, they were suitable. Would definitely try this again with another play. Going to comedy is always risky because many plays feel they have to be obscene or raw in order to be funny. This play was pretty family friendly. They also allowed photos, which was good for the volunteer actors to have their photos taken by their friends/family.

In addition, they had photos on the wall of many celebrated sleuths, and it was rather fun to match the photos with the names on a sheet that each table had to work with. It gave everyone something to do and to focus on as a group of friends.

“Lots of fun !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

Saw this on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try . Glad we did , lots of fun and definitely worth seeing . Interactive theater with lots of audience participation thrown in for extra laughs and a fun murder mystery to solve also. Good fyn for the price. Don't miss it I'd you're in town.
