I took my kids there on a friday evening around 4:30pm. We pass this place all the time and what little reviews there were in the Charleston City paper, it sounded like a good choice. The menu is filled with a foodies dream. I graduated culinary school, so I am familiar with everything on the menu, someone with not alot of knowledge might be a little intimidated. For starters, I had the Beef short rib skewers accompanied with a wheat berry salad, crushed almonds and rosemary oil. The skewers looked like the meat on a stick you get at the Chinese restaurants, but they were delicious! There was little studs of dried apricots that went well with the beef. The salad was good as well. My youngest daughter had the cheese flatbread which was huge! Nice melted cheese on a crispy flatbread, she ate the whole thing! My oldest daughter and I shared the grilled flank steak with chimichurri sauce, the same salad without the wheat berries and we chose the side of roasted brussel sprouts. The steak was already sliced ( A turnoff) but cooked perfectly, the chimichurri was good, but could have used a little salt. The brussel sprouts were cooked good as well, we ate them up. My only complaint besides a little salt would be a little more meat, at $18 a pop, I expected a little more. I was still hungry after the meal. The menu has other things I would love to try next time like the rotisserie chicken, BBQ chicken flat bread, pork verde chili and crab balls, just to name a few. I think this place will flourish here on the island, I for one will be back.
