“Great vibe - fun bar and super service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

My wife and I recently spent 4 days in Charleston SC. This is one of 9 posts that include; The Charleston Place Hotel, Johnson Limo-Taxi and restaurants Eli’s Table, Fulton 5, High Cotton, Macintosh, Magnolia’s, The Mezz (aka Sermets Corner) and Sticky Fingers. Read them all to get a flavor of the city and the experience. Please take the time to see the battery, see the many art galleries and shops (our favorite was the honey store!) and enjoy the many many good restaurants.

A local hip joint, our group of 17 really had a good time with the wait staff here. Now, there is open dessert that sounds strange; a pancetta with pickled blueberry’s. This group always order many appetizers and again deserts for the table to sample a little of everything. We ordered this dessert with some trepidation. Don’t be afraid – probably one of the best desserts I have ever had. Period.

“The menu is even fun to read”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

The food was delicious and exciting to try, the hostess and the waiter were also just great. It is an easy place to go to- we didn't need a reservation. It feels very casual and open. Everyone is chatting and nice. You get to watch the chefs as they work- and they seem to work so gracefully! We even noticed the chef came out and talked to the tables by the end of the evening. It is the perfect place for a night out with friends interested in great food.

“Favorite Restaurant in Charleston”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is a wonderful restaurant that caters to every appetite. You need not worry about the "smaller" menu, because everything on it is simply amazing. Noteworthy dishes are the deckle, the burger (yes, the burger) and a must is the bone marrow bread pudding.

The atmosphere is always great, though later at night the bar scene kicks up, so just expect that when dining later. The service is ALWAYS outstanding, we've never had anything but excellent service.

We take friends & family to this restaurant every opportunity we have.

“Delicious food and fun cocktails”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Everything we ate was delicious! We highly recommend bone marrow bread pudding... amazing! I also had a gin martini with bacon pimento cheese olives which was interesting and yummy if you like that sort of thing. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was nice.
