“Great location for a visit to downtown charleston”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Stayed here for two nights. Arrived in the evening and walked over to kings street for dinner which is a block away. In the morning walked down to the peninsula for a walking tour of downtown. It is about a 10 minute walk, but if you prefer, you can take the free trolley right across the street from the hotel.

Hotel provides a nice free breakfast buffet in the lobby including hot and cold food-- make your own waffle, hot cereal, yogurt, fruit, egg dish, etc. great way to start the day.

The room is a basic hotel room and bathroom. No room safe. No fan vent in the bathroom. Both those things were not a big deal for us, but I was a bit surprised since I thought those kind of things are usually standard at chain hotels.

Good location and facility to visit downtown Charleston.

One of the best hotels I've experienced. Probably one of the top beds and the fact that the duvet is washed between each guest receives high marks!

The breakfast is terrific and has a bit of everything to please any palette. Everyone I encountered from the front desk staff to those in housekeeping were always smiling and willing to do whatever was asked.

Couldn't be closer to the Visitor's Center or the Free Trolly stop. Wonderful location - close to everything but away from the high traffic inner historic district. Also, having the public parking deck right next door was very handy.

Highly recommend!! I'll definately be back.

Stayed for two nights and it was a great choice. The included breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly and attentive. You can walk out the door and immediately begin taking in the great historical district.

We were a family of 5 and they accommodated us all in the one room, excellent place to stay and great breakfast, highly recommended. The staff were all happy and friendly and advised us on places to see while in town.

Had a great time at the Meeting St. Hampton Inn. The beds were wonderful....the breakfasts were great...the location was very good. Wanted to give a special accolade to Manager Casey Lindman who went out of his way to accomodate 6 women with info on restaurants, churches, etc. He even supplied us with wine glasses when we needed them. He is an asset to this
establishment!

From our arrival, room was ready as requested early, to our departure, cab on time and all ready to go. We arrived at noon and our room was ready for occupancy. We put our luggage down, refreshed and off we went to discover historic Charleston. Desk staff was courteous and helpful. Hot breakfast with all you love and ready to begin our next day. Visitor's Center across the street - a real plus. Free trolley convenient and all the eating places you would desire nearby. We had a great time thanks to Hampton Inn.

Room Tip: 2nd floor, comfy and quiet overlooking the pool.

We choose this Hampton primarily for its location and we weren't disappointed. There's a great free trolley service right around the corner on John St. and it can take you all over the city in minutes. There's a lot of walking involved so you might as well take advantage of some free transportation.

Hotel itself was nice - clean and comfortable room - friendly staff - usual Hampton breakfast, except one morning offered Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Yum!
