I was expecting to visit several interesting and innovative restaurants and ended up going to 2 run of mill pub restaurants, a not very good Italian place and back to one of the pub restaurants for dessert. The promotional material promised that "On each tour, you will not only have an opportunity to sample some of Charleston's finest food offerings, but also to meet the owners and chefs behind Charleston's impressive culinary innovation" We did not meet anyone from the restaurants except the wait staff. None of the restaurants I would consider fine dining or innovative. At each stop we had 3 dishes which made no sense to me as I would rather have less food and more interesting discussion of low country cuisine and better restaurants. I would not recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique eating experience.
