Overall, I could not be happier with our stay at the Charleston Place. From making phone reservations to checkout, the service was top notch: friendly, professional, attentive,courteous,thoughtful,etc,etc,etc. We visited for an anniversary, and were met with champagne and a chocolate truffle cake. They included other small extras during our stay as well. The hotel itself is beautiful and very centrally located for visiting Charleston. You are within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the historic homes and sites of Charleston. Our room was very clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The ONLY negative was that our room was an adjoining room, and noise traveled pretty easily from the adjacent room thru the common set of doors separating the rooms. A pretty small negative, considering that everyone at the Charleston Place was superb. While the hotel itself was beautiful, the staff from valet, bell service, front desk, to house keeping and the service they provided really made our stay outstanding. It is now our destination when we next visit Charleston. Very impressed! If feasible, stay on one of the Club Level floors to enjoy the amenities!

We stayed in August 2011, on the club level floors. Apart from feeling a little out of place (we're not normally staying at such hotels) we LOVED this hotel. Fabulous service everywhere. Only deducting points from the Spa - not impressed with the mani-pedi, loved the rest.

I called ahead,was told that the decorations were exceptional.They were really great, people came in from the street to take pictures.Location was ideal,pets are aloud very few hotels there allow them.the whole experience was just right.Not cheap,but for a treat it fits the bill. My dog even got a special treat.Shopping without leaving the Hotel was very nice.

Writing this review 7 months after visiting The Charleston Place and it is still fresh and memorable in my mind. What a wonderful hotel. The staff went out of their way to make you feel like you were the only guests in their hotel. The bedding, bath, sitting room, was extremely comfortable. Their amenities (bath gels) are not run of the mill.... far superior to your other local hotels The room temperature was just right for the hottest June we were experiencing. The staff was curtious and attentive. And the Spa/Pool....oh my... my skin felt amazing, and my body refreshed after walking thru Charleston. I can not wait to go back, The city is just fascinating. Everyone was so pleasant with us....we befriended so many tour guides with our excitement about their city! The only situation we avoided were the "peddlers" for tickets to attractions. We did our homework, got information from the main tourist center for coupons...instead of being "roped" in for 'deals'. I know that people have to earn a living...but not for me..I like to pursue adventures on my own and listen to the local residents for their advice! But remember, some people are never satisfied with whatever the circumstance...but I honestly could not find a negative aspect of this hotel or city - at all. Amazing.
