Excellent hotel, short drive to downtown. Compared to the hotels downtown it was an excellent deal, and parking in Charleston was not a problem. Second stay here and it is was a good experience overall. Breakfast was wonderful.

The staff was Very Nice and the location is even better. Just one short bridge away and you are in Downtown Charleston. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful in Charleston. The room was very clean and quiet.

There is a seafood restaurant you can drive to or walk to depending on the weather. There are several other restaurants within driving distance.

I would come back here for business anytime and since it is so close to the Historic District, I would stay here again for pleasure.

Great Place.

The two bedroomed suite was lovely with TWO ensuite bathrooms. Nice not to share with the 18 yr old son! There was a log-effect fire in the living room and the beds were really comfortable. Everything was spotless. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful and I've never known a business-type hotel to have a free drinks'n'nibbles service every evening, together with a weekly BBQ and other entertainments most days. Good fitness room, good internet access and in general a really lovely place to spend a few days. Would thoroughly recommend it. Well done Marriott!

Another Great stay at Residence Inn. It was a surprise bargain. I was here for a Business Meeting, and the 4 of us stayed in a 2 bedroom suite more comfortably and more economically than most of the offerings in the old historic area. Free parking and a great breakfast. The only faults were: it was hard to find - the signs were not very good, the usual dark roast coffee was not present but the other was more than adequate. You would have to look very hard and long to find a better value than the Residence Inn, and they seem to be very dependable regardless of where you travel.
It was only a 5 minute drive to my meeting, and they do offer a shuttle.
